The title says it all. I'm sure it's a common request for most sites to backup uploaded files such as images or other media. But it's no way to do it in simple hosting plans where you can't run your own software.
Remote database backup is a savior for sql backup, so same feature for saving files using remote ftp would make it complete.

PS just downloaded SQLBackupAndFTP and didn't find remote ftp backup anywhere in settings. Only local backup files. So assume it's not included yet.

Hello,

Please try out http://mysqlbackuponline.com/
MySQL Backup Online backups all your MySQL databases (TCP/IP, SSH or phpMyAdmin) and files (FTP) from your website or blog for free or for a small fee.

Regards,
Alexey.

When I go to mysqlbackuponline.com, it brings me to MySQL Backup FTP, which doesn't seem to have the ability to back up files, only databases. Have you discontinued it? Is there something that can back up an entire website, including the files and MySQL?
Thanks!

Too bad files can't be backed up over FTP. Then MySQLBackup FTP could be used to back up an entire remote website instead of just the database.

Please note MySQLBackupFTP can't backup files or folders through FTP.

Please note, we specialize in MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL database backups. If you need a tool to backup sites or folders, it is better to choose other solution.
