How to Backup MySQL to Box
Follow these simple steps and create database backup job which will make scheduled backups and send them to Box.
- Download and install MySQLBackupFTP and launch it. Choose all databases which you are going to backup from the list on the left side.
- Choose a destination where your backups will be stored by clicking “Add backup destination” and select Box from the list.
Click “Authorize” to open the browser and allow MySqlBF to access Box.
Specify the authorization code and click “OK”.
Select a folder on your Box where all backups will be stored and click “Test” to check all settings, press “Save & Close” to apply new settings.
- Check off “Schedule this job” and press “Advanced backup schedule” to set up a schedule for backups.
Set up the schedule as you need and click “Save & Close”.
- Now your MySQL database backup job is ready. You can run the backup process immediately, to do it click “Run now”. To start the backup job which will make backups according to your schedule press “Save”.
